Default dpfi-mpfi problem. Crank Sensor code, need help NOW!

i dropped a b18a1 into my 90 base model hatch. had to switch wiring from dpfi-mpfi. i stayed OBD0 w/ everything, doner harness was from a 90 integra. i used a remanufactured OBD0 integra ls dizzy and an OBD0 pr4 5 speed integra ls ecu. everything works as it should (minus the motor running terribly) but it is throwing a code 4 which is for the crankshaft position sensor. It idles up and down between 1900 and 2200 and when driving/reving it WILL NOT go past 3000. when it hits 3000 it sputters (as though it were hitting rev limiter). its come to my attention that other people have had the same problem but i cant get anything on how it was solved. i DESPERATELY need some help with this. ive tried switching out dizzy's to a 91 civic si but the code still came up and it still ran the same. i tried switching ecu's to one of 3 pr4 ecus that i have and the problem was still there. please someone help me with this, the motor has been rebuilt and i dont want to mess anything up and i want to break it in properly. thanks..

check your wiring again

c1= cam sensor-p
c2 = cam sensor-m
c3 = TDC sensor-p
c4 = TDC sensor-m
b10 = crank sensor-p
b12 = crank sensor-m

p? m?...switched wires in b10-b12, and c1-c2, seperate, then together, resetting the ecu each time and the code still came up. also switched the white wires at the distributor plug but car would not start when switched, so i put them back to where they "should" be. havent touched c3 and c4 yet. i really need some help beyond this. if c3 and c4 have nothing to do with this let me know. i called the closest shop and they said up to $200 depending on what is wrong w/ it, not to mention its about 30-45 minutes away and id rather not drive my car in its current condition. i used two different wiring guides for this swap, and my friend that works at a shop specializing in swaps did the wiring, though he didnt have a lot of experience w/ wiring.

sources:
http://www.angelfire.com/d20/h....html -was used for actual wiring changes
http://effinmotorworks.com/Effin_MPFI_swap.htm -was used for ecu end of wiring (for the most part)

obviously i dont want them to reply with smart *** comments. dizzy has been swaped out for two other brand new ones and the problem came up....no **** its in the wiring. AFTER RESEARCHING IVE FOUND THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD THE SAME OR VERY SIMILAR PROBLEMS, BUT NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN POSTED....whats the proper way to fix it, and how do you pinpoint the problem. ECU/DIZZY/WIRES have all been switched around, is there a connection that im missing..i really dont get this.
