need help!! been tryng for 2 months!
Car keeps throwing crank angle sensor code. Its obd1 gsr motor with p06 ecu... wiring seems fine. Dizzy seems fiine.... just put a bunch of money in the car now running like *** when the code comes on.... need help! Anyone!
DTC 4 is the crank shaft position (CKP) sensor. What distributor are you using? Also is it OEM honda or a reman unit?
You say the wiring looks good, have you tried testing the sensor and it's wiring with a multimeter?

its either the wiring or the sensor. Refer to Helm Manual to test both the correct way with multimeter. If either is out of range, fix the problem. If you recently did a wire tuck, assume wiring 95% of the time.
No. Test the sensor and it's wiring to the ECU. That way you can see exactly what needs to be replaced.
Do you have a shop manual and a multimeter? IMO those are the most important tools when doing a swap of any kind.

Its also likely that you have a bad connection at your jumper harness, especially if you had the car tuned without these issues and then suddenly they appeared say when the tuner pulled his equipment off your car or say when you tried to put your ecu back where it belongs behind the kick panel. I would make sure all wire connections are tight and that the wires are not falling out the back of the connectors.
