Default Door lock Module

I have a 1996 Civic 2 door that my door lock module crapped out on me. I can not find a new one for my car so i am wondering if one out of a 4 door will work. If not i can get one from a 95 civic 2 door but im not sure if they hare the same thing. If someone could help me out thanks.

Yes, the one for the 4 door is the same, it is the cars harness that is diff., [wires for rear door locks are paralleled with front pass. door].
Technically you could use just about any "Power Door Lock Control Unit" out of a Honda/Acura, even an aftermarket one like the Audiovox PRO-PDL2, even more basic a pair of SPDT relays, [although you would lose central locking with just relays].

To be clear, your saying your power door locks no longer work or your key-less entry no longer works??? 94

But if i try and use the lock switch in the car it does not do anything. i had this problem one other time and i took that module part and cleaned it and it worked again but i think now its just fried so i will get a different one

No, I'm saying "just about" any Honda/Acura power door lock module can be made to work.

It needs to be from a Honda/Acura that uses a neg.(-) trigger power door lock switch.

Wire colors and plug may not be the same.

If you want this to be plug and play you will need to get the module from a 96-98 Civic that has OEM key-less entry, [2 or 4 door]. 94
