Default dohc interga with a sohc

my friend has an intergra, i think like 87 or 88, it has a dohc d sieries d16a. does any one know if you could if this engine like most d sieries have interchangable parts. he is thinking about a mini me swap, with a y8 head, but just wondering if it fits. if not do the dohc b sieries heads fit? tia

You cannot swap D series and B series parts. Well, maybe some nuts and bolts, but definitely not the heads.

you really cant swap b and d series parts but i have seen somebody put a zc head on a d16 block at nopi in atlanta in september. It was a fully built motor done by jg and he said he spent alot of money and it was turbo charged. he was running 22psi and was running 12.2 in a crx with 17 inch rims on it. i got pics of the car w/ prooth. if you want to see them email at civickl99@comcast.net

thats cause theyre the same block...ZC came in DOHC and SOHC but same blocks..

anyways this guy wants to know if he can use newer SOHC parts on the old D series motor and im 99% sure you can...
