Default Doesn't Start.

Cyphear and I are trying to get his car started. We just dropped in a B20 built motor in his 95 ls integra. We have checked the timing, fuel, vaccum, ecu. Their seems to be no logical reason for the car not to start. He is running uberdata and we have tried several different maps with no luck. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

This is nothing simple like fuse blown, timing off, tune off. We have checked everything that we know to do.

An engine only needs 4 things to run: induction, compression, fuel and timing. One of those is not right with yours, and testing everything will find it.

So it cranks but does not start? Does it try to start, like catch a little sometimes? Try spraying carb cleaner in the throttle to start it.

compression test good, fuel is entering combustion chamber, timing is right on the money. We spent hours trying to figure this out.

We got 1 fire out of the engine earlier in the day. However after that it never tried to start. Oh yea, we also purchased new plugs as well.

Any help?

You may have compression, but you are lacking fuel, spark, timing or some combo of them.

What is the fuel pressure?

Are the fuel injectors being activated? Can you hear them clicking, did you use a test light or meter to verify?

Do you have a timing light? How do you know your 'timing is right on the money'?

Does a stock ECU get you anywhere?

we checked everything you mentioned except for the new ecu.

however, the ecu appears to be operating normally and no codes. but i think we might try it if we can find another ecu

edit: no 02 sensor being used except for standalone wideband. and if we have 02 sensor not disabled it throws a code, but when we enable the sensor disable removes the code. so the ecu is working.
