Inside the bearing. Is it lubed with some sort of grease?

i took off my flywheel and the bottom half the pilot bearing had this weird goopy **** like grease on it...the consistancy is like molasses. it is also in the same position on the end of the crank. i dont think its oil from the motor.

it smells wierd..not like oil or tranny fluid.

i did have tranny issue and fluid got all over the place in there but i dont see it being that either because of its consistancy...

if it is indeed grease from the bearing... guess I shoudl change it ?!

 

im pretty sure its a sealed bearing with grease in it

 

yeah, they are lubbed inside, change it

 

do you have a oil leak inside the housing area..

 

no i dont.
I beleive its bearing grease... cause by wobbling of the input shaft.

new one is here tomorrow.
