Does this increase horsepower and reduce engine bay heat?

having the vents on (no ac on) and having the slider all the way on hot? ive got a 95 teg.

Yes, it does reduce heat. Not enough to benefit though.

No HP gains.

all it does is transfer heat to your heater core and therefore lowering your water temp just a little. not noticable unless you are almost overheating

well.. i maxed out at 110 or something like that.. then i switched the temp gauge to the other side.. and it started pickup more speed..
YES it does make a difference...

i always leave it on vent if i dont have a/c on, but i dont put it on heat. i think the only time you'll notice a big difference is if your gonna overheat, then switch it to heat right away, and take that air out of the engine, and ur temp gauge will down..

heh, had first hand experiance with that just last week, good thing i knew what to do. cracked radiator, so was low on coolant, but all is good now with new radiator.
