Default Does the EGR valve affect TDC Sensor?

Hi Guys! Well, I had 2 codes come up on my 95 Accord, F22B2. One for the TDC sensor, the other for the EGR Valve(8 and 12, but I don't remember which was which). This was right after an engine swap(straight swap, for another F22B2), so I figured I had missed a connection. It ran OK, but was pretty sluggish from a stop, then got better above about 15 MPH. I figured that was due to the TDC sensor fault, screwing with the computer. Well, I noticed that the wires to the EGR had been cut, I can only guess by the PO of the car that the engine came out of, probably trying to chase down a problem. So anyway, I fixed the wiring to the EGR, and now both codes are gone, and it runs great. My question is, does the EGR have any effect on the TDC sensor? Could the EGR valve wires being cut, have possibly removed the signal to/from the TDC Sensor? The only other thing I did was reseat the connectors going to the distributor, but those had all been disconnected/reconnected during the swap.

Just wondering.

I am guessing but I can't see how, both leads on the EGR valve go to the, ECU the TDC has signal from ECU but the other lead is a fused 12V+, [on the G2 B18 engines anyway] so the only thing common is the ECU other then it is two different inputs/outputs.

Guessing again, and because you say, "now both codes are gone, and it runs great." it was a just "glitch" for the TDC code, another possibility, if either one of the EGR leads was shorting to ground or each other it could have had an effect, it's a computer, garbage in garbage out, [TDC error code]. 94

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

I'm in agreement on the garbage in/out, and the glitch scenarios, either one sounds possible. I guess it could have been the reseat of the connectors, but I can's see how, since I had just had them apart. My EGR has 3 leads, Yel/Wht, Grn/Wht, and Wht/Blk, and it was the Yel/Wht, and Grn/Wht that were cut. I guess at this point, it really doesn't matter since it's fixed, it was just one of those "What the?" moments.

Thanks again!!
