Default Does this broken bracket look familiar to anyone?

Hey everyone... I'm getting my proverbial ducks in a row, getting together everything I need to swap my B18C into my '98 EK, and I noticed this bracket on the back side of the engine, right below the oil filter, but above the axle... It's broken (obviously), but do I need to replace it? In the pic below, it's the bracket in the middle of the shot, held on by the 2 bolts... Any idea what that is? I don't have the Helms manual yet for the engine (it'll be here this week), so I need your expert help... Thanks!

Yep, exhaust bracket.

It supports the oem exh. manifold downpipe.

To answer your question, no you don't need it. I took mine off when I put my header on because it was just getting in the way.

Honda never does anything without a reason. I always feel that if they thought they needed it at the factory who am I to second guess. Anyway... yes, its the exhaust hanger bracket and yes, I would use it. Its a $10 part from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/ and my thought is with an expensive aftermarket header I would rather have the bracket on then risk cracking the welds at the header flange.
