Default do i need OBD2 to OBD1 ECU Adapter Harness?

hello, if i wanna swap the JDM B18C R engine (year 96) into a del sol (year 96), do i need the ECU adapter harness?

if i swap it without the ECU Adapter Harness, wut will happen?

both of those should be obd2 correct? i know the 94-95 tegs were obd1.

If the car and the engine are BOTH of the same years they BOTH should be of the same OBD. No adaptor neccassary. HOWEVER. The USDM and JDM ENGINE harnesses are different and not interchangeable(LHD vs. RHD) and some of the SENSORS are different. So some modification and rewiring WILL be needed

so wut if i use the harnesses that are already in the car? coz it's B16A2 engine in the del sol
can i just swape the JDM B18C in and use the harnesses already in the car?
