Do i need a new fuel pump with swap?
I got a b16a2 in a civic coupe ex. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to like a civic SI fuel pump or something bigger than what I already have or does this even matter? Thanks in advance.
I might get flamed bad for this one, but I have had a B18C1 (GS-R) in a couple of SOHC hybrids ('92 Si and '93 Del Sol Si, both same as EX motor). I ran the stock 1.6 SOHC fuel pump for about 70,000 combined miles on the same motor without any problems. I ran to rev limit all the time and never had any trouble.
But saying that, I would seriously recommend getting an Integra or DOHC VTEC Si fuel pump since they don't cost that much, and you will definately need it if you plan on doing a lot of mods later.
Hope it helps, and when the turboed GS-R makes its return (I pulled for it turbo build up, and it had about 170,000 miles on it) I am getting a high output pump, and an A/F meter.
Out,
Adrian
