You can basically just go by the connectors... OBD1 and OBD2 are internally the same (they have the same trigger) where as nonOBD fires at a different pulse rate making it incompatible with OBD1/2... nonOBD connectors are straight ugly, both connectors will be round making it easily identifiable... OBD1 have TWO connectors which both should both be gray... Most OBD2 distributors use a single connector which is my favorite due to just plain looks... The one thing to know is that all B series VTEC distributors (*just as an example) share the same casing meaning that their shells all look pretty much the same (also meaning that they'll bolt up to any B series VTEC head)... Just my $0.02, and always ask for pics if you are buying online... If you get any pics and you are still not sure just let me know and I should be able to tell ya unless plugs, pins, connectors, or internals have been swapped... Peace

you will be better to use the 94-95 ls one. You can use the vtec one but it probably hold with only one bolt.

so it would better to use a non vtec one, two bolts must be better than one bolt!

there are 3 bolts on a dizzy, some people use different dizzy's from different cars that are more readily available then there specific cars and leave out a bolt, if you HAVE to do this AT LEATS MAKE SURE YOU CAN USE 2 of the 3. only a MUST, i personally wouldnt but maybe if that was the only option i had to get to work in the morning i would cosider it.

I would just go with the nonVTEC one but that's just me... When it comes to the motor I can't stand leaving bolts out... You could use a 96-2001 LS dizzy too and just repin the connector on the engine loom (looks cleaner) or cut the plug off and put an OBD1 one on... That opens up a few more options as well... Good Luck
