Disappearing oil ... WTF?
OK, so the other day I as low on oil, I pour two liters into the car and its still low, pour in a 3rd and its fine. (3 litres down... WTF)
There are NO leaks, no puddles anywhere I park.
There is a little whitish smoke on startup, but other than that no noticable smoke.
And there are no deposits on the bumper near the exhaust.
Where the hell is it going if its not leaking and not burning off?
My mechanic said it is a steady but small leak... (is this possible)?

You may be slightly burning oil through the rings. Also check your coolant to see if there are oil deposits in it. If so, your head gasket is leaking and will need to be replaced.
Coolant is in great shape. I just changed the head gasket when I put the new head and cams in.
Could I still be burning through the rings?
I did a compression check today, everything was excellent.

I had the valve seals replaced when I put the new head in (A MONTH AGO)!
I wonder if they are the wrong ones or if they were done improperly
