my car smelt like burning oil and would kick out blue smoke. my car is a 1.6 vtec 7th gen honda civic sport.i flushed the engine and changed the oil and filter and it appeared to reduce. lmy car has recently had the thermostat changed, expansion bottle, oil pressure switch, egr valve cleaned, head gasket kit full and valve stem seals done. there is still a little smell of burning oil though and no leaks. the oil is using roughly 1 and1/2 litres every 2 tanks of fuel???? help please

Are you losing coolant too? Reduced power? Sounds like head gasket problems.

the head gasket blew as yes was losing coolant but have done all gaskets valve stem seals expansion bottle etc as stated above... and as to the piston rings i was informed by rac breakdown mechanic that if they had gone there would have been flooded spark plugs which i do not have and a poor idle which again i do not have.as for loss of power. also when i had the head off i checked the piston heads and the cylinders for wear and it appeared none... ????????????
