diognosing transmission problem
I have an rsx type S 6 speed tranny that I got from a friend at a dealership. The transmission was warrantied, but im unable to find out why / whats wrong with it. I figured that the best way to diognose it would be to open the casing, but im not really sure what to look for. Any ideas what the best way to figure out whats wrong with it?

how about list or describe some or all of the problems and we might can have an idea?
sorry guys, i forgot to mention that the tranny is NOT in a car, and i do not have a car to put it in and test it out.. I just have the transmission. That's why i don't know whats wrong with it. and like i said, i cannot find out why it was covered under warranty

so this transmission was replaced out of a car for a reason under warranty and you ended up with it? and you want to know what's wrong? take it to a shop or someone who knows what they are doing (slide one of the techs a wad of cash and i bet he'll crack it open if he has to take it home and do it on the side) or just someone who knows what to look for, it might be something small or something major.

That's one way to do it..but the reason i posted asking for help on ht was so that I could do it. I'd rather do it myself ( with some help from you guys) and learn in the process.
