Default ding in crank pulley

my OEM JDM B16A crank pulley has a small ding in it on the outer ring (the outer retaining surface for the A/C pump). It looks like it would wear out a A/C belt prematurely. This is of no concern to me as I don't care if I have A/C at this point. What does worry me is when I install the motor and this crank pulley starts spinning quickly will this minute (smaller than a nail head and off about 1mm) be enough to put extra wear on the rotating assembly?

How big of a nail head?

When I just did my timing belt on my 180k miles GSR I noticed the crank pulley had a huge piece ripped out, like 1"x1/8-1/4" on the outer edge. The engine will runs fine and it was like that for over 90k, so surprisingly it did little damage.

A little nick isn't going to do much at all and I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen them on past motors and just filing down the edges of the nick to make it less jagged will save your a/c belt.

I'll get a pic up soon, but I'm not going to run AC so the belt isn't in danger.

I wouldn't worry about the belt. I've seen many chipped pulleys and as long as you file the egdes of the chip down you won't have any problems at all. Even if it did wear for some odd reason, it's just a $10 belt.
