i bought my b20b through hmotors. motor looked almost brand new. mated it to a gsr tranny and i loved the setup. i'd give them a call first though to see if they have any b20z's in stock. they're getting hard to come by. also try importautosalvage.com. they might have a 99-00 usdm b20z. same specs as jdm.

Great info. But you need to mention that all of these motors are used, they could have had work done to them, things like cheaper non-honda head gaskets that will change compression, or thicker higher ones, when I ordered a stock b16 a few years back(non lsd) its came with a cusco LSD, I just happened to get lucky. and from what i understand when ever you order a used JDM stuff you always take a risk that internals have been changed, upgraded or even down graded.

Ditto, I notice you are also from the uk. Im guesing the B20B3 is the uk B20b.

I just got one and it has no knock sensor, and the long girrafe intake. IM guessing its 8.8 compression.

IM thinking i will just get replacement pistons and bring it up to somewhere in the region of 11:1CR.

I will be using a vtec head, B16A/a2 or something similar.

I am aiming for 200+ fhp.

You got the low cr.
The 9.2 comes with a p8r head
And the 9.6 cr comes with a knock sensor

So all b20z's are high compression motors? Why does the front page not get updated ?

Question i bought a b20b p3f with a p75 head but its has a knock sensor.... Does that make it high compression or a low compression can come with a knocksensor?

Hey my name is Tim thacker and i have a 95 acura integra, and ive been having problems one right after another. So that leads me to this question, im completely tired of f***ing with this motor. Its a b20b in the teggy right now and im actually about to order a new motor tomorrow. Im looking at a b20z to put in it rather than the b20b, would i be able to use the parts off of my b20b and put it on my b20z? Is there a difference between the two? Other than the compression. Please get back with me as soon as possible like i said i would like to order the motor tomorrow please and thanks in advanced for the help!!

Mechanically, everything will interchange. Intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor... especially if you are using the stock '95 Integra engine harness and fuel injectors. The stock ECU is not optimum for a B20, but with an increase in fuel pressure (adjustable FPR), you should be able to get it at least safe. Ideally, you will need an ECU that you can tune... and then get to a local tuner who can dyno the car and make the parts that you have work optimally together.

9,2:1 cr = phk high comp + p8r head ( 47cc combustion chamber and 84mm bore )

P75 head has 45cc combustion chamber and 81mm bore, for this is the 9,6:1
