Default difference between b16b and b16a2 (99 si)

I was wondering if the difference were only camshaft with proper valvetrain, higher compression piston that made the difference between those two engines.

Thank you for your help and knowledge.

b16b is a B18 block, where B16a is a B16/B17 block.
