Default Diagnostic Code help!

Hey guy my friend check engine came on and I check the code, ending up with 9. When I check the number I found out that number 9 refer to No1 Cylinder position. What is that suppose to mean? Help plz!

probably means the cylinder position sensor in the distributor is bad.
