Maybe you should reconsider doing it yourself.
You don't really seem capable anyway.

How can you have questions if you haven't even started soldering yet?? People have given you some good advice all I'm saying is listen to them.

when your desoldering do you do it form the back or front of the board?
can u screw up resistors if you get them to hot when soldering them in?

Man, I'd love to answer your question, but if you don't get several answers saying the same thing, you wouldn't trust me.
Plus I think I was one of the guys you told to "leave my thread".
(I'm normally not hatefull, but I hope you trash that P28)

All I use are Metcal stations where I work, so there's another vote for that brand of equipment. I also use some "no-clean" solder wick and Flux-Off to clean my work when done (I do surface mount and not thru-hole).
Heat is what kills anything. Whether you heat the board too much and start lifting tracks or heating the component too much and killing it. The other side of the picture is heat regulation. If you took a no-name solder iron, heated it up and then touched it to a big slab of metal, that slab of metal will suck away the heat from the tip very quickly. So the station has to be able to sense that and adjust accordingly. If it can't, you'll find that de-soldering ground pins are a PITA because you just can't get them hot enough to melt the solder.
The links/write-ups/info people are giving you are correct. Please use them and please practice on something else before attempting this. It's an art all to itself.
