Default Dead cylinder on b16a1

Replaced injectors. Getting plenty of fuel. Cylinder 4 is getting spark by pulling plug out and laying on frame.when you pull the plug wire its making 0 difference. plug is perfectly clean and no signs of combustion at all. changed plugs around...made no difference. plug is wet with fuel as well. Done quick compression test and was very good. What in the hell will keep that cylinder from firing at this point? the car is a distributor based car. Also it is a jdm b16a1. Also swapped plug wires and had same results.

We pulled it off and it looked ok....but the rotor button looked kinda rough. Thats the only thing we don't have extras of.

What cap can we use to replace the current cap?

I got the distributor from rywire a year or two ago, going to call them tomorrow to see if they'll sale me a cap alone so the fitment will be perfect.

Otherwise, what cap can I use since its an obd0 b16a? I think the B17a cap will work but it doesn't fit just right...

try a gsr or ls, maybe even a D-series. Take your old one to Autozone and have them match one.

Replaced cap & rotor, cap from a 91 Crx Si & rotor from a '90 teg, no difference...still nothing but fuel on #4 cylinder (farthest on the driver's side).

If your cylinder has no compression, fuel and spark will not help.

The "dead cylinder" came back with 190psi after a compression check...

Grounds are fine, the car actually starts & runs ok, but its still running on 3 cylinders...

We're thinking it could be a frayed part of the injector harness, maybe the wire running to the particular injector causing it to be stuck open all the time instead of pulsing....

Gah this is a lot of trouble...

Could the injector be stuck open, maybe causing a very excessively rich mix at that cylinder, enough to prevent it from firing???

Yeah thats what we are thinking even though the injectors which are in the car now are replacements. We're thinking something in the wiring to that particular injector may have it staying open instead of pulsing... We really don't know what else to check besides wiring at this point, everything that can be done without taking the motor apart has been done and checked....besides some kind of module in the distributor, but that would affect all cylinders instead of just one from what I understand.
