Default *Information*

Need some help, I just changed out my cap and rotor on my distributor and I've already changed the fuel filter..... my fking car won't start, any ideas?

Have you changed the plug wires?
Do you know that it is the spark?
Are you 100% sure the plug wires are in the correct cylinders?

First things first. Check your plug wires and make sure that they are correct.

Also, pull your plugs and inspect them for proper gapping and damage.

There are numbers on the plug wires but no corresponding numbers on the cap.....

starting in lower left of the cap installed... i believe it goes clockwise, 1-3-4-2.

so;
lower left = cylinder 1
upper left = cylinder 3
upper right = cylinder 4
lower right = cylinder 2

engine

4 3 2 1

front of engine

---4---

distributor

firing order is 1,3,4,2

say this is your dist cap... 4 plugs on it, when installed on the motor it sits at a slight angle and the following shows you what cylinders each plug goes to.

yeah, i should have put distributor rotation instead of firing order....mixing terms up sorry
