Default dead cylinder?

My Check Engine light is on and my car seems weaker than usual. Could it be a dead cylinder?

Could be any number of things. Get the CEL code read to narrow down the problem.

when your car has a cell doesn’t it go into limp mode couldn't that also be a reason for your car feeling weaker?

A friend who is a tech says it could be a damaged O2 sensor that's making the light on and causing poor performance. Does a damaged oxygen sensor cause poor performance?
