Check engine Light with P0135
Hi, I had the check engine light on in my car a 98 accord with the error code p0170 and p0171. So I changed the oxygen sensor. Unfortunately my car didn't have a socket to just connect the O2 sensor in so I had to rewire the sensor into the car. Ever since I did that I have had the P0135 check engine light code which means an error in the primary heated oxygen sensor circuit. I used a denso 234 4620 Oxygen sensor since I have the F23A1 engine. Any Advice on what I can do to fix the problem?

Re: Check engine Light with P0135
Hi,
I rechecked the wiring and tries shifting the wires around but it didn't help. Further the O2 sensor is new. Is it possible to destroy the on board computer by a wiring mistake which causes this code to come up ?
What else could I do to fix this problem?

P0135 can be caused by a faulty sending unit as well. It happened to me a couple days ago. Got the code and the sensor was good but the sending unit was bad :/
