going to pull out the dash, unplug the main dash harness, and install the new dash harness and gauge/climate sub harness. also put the oem gauge cluster in. (there is just a generic one in there now.) i have a 99 civic si (em1).

there is nothing you need to do ... just unplug existing harness and replace with new harness .... I just don't understand why exactly you need a new harness and a new gauge cluster?

because the idiot who had my si before me spliced up my dash harness because the interior got stolen. not everything on the dash works, and the gauge cluster is just a generic one. i can't jsut plug in the new gauge cluster, there are no plugs that match the oem si cluster. i'm just tryin to get everything back to normal. only had the car for 6 months. the last thing left to do to make the car "normal" is the re-wiring.

ok, understood .... harnesses are outrageously expensive as far as honda goes ... so your best bet is a junkyard. you can take out any dashboard 2D/3D/4D and take out the dashboard harness (of course ... 99-00) it has all the connectors you need. the rest is simple ... it is best to take a buddy to the junkyard because to take out the dashboard harness you need to take out dashboard and it is easiest when done with a friend ...
