Default D16A6 Exhaust Size

I am thinking of getting a Magnaflow cat- back exhaust built for my 91 CRX Si. I'm limited by class rules to a basically stock engine, and I'm wondering what diameter pipe to use.

I've found comments by Jackson Racing and some other Honda guys recommending 2" for a stock D motor, mainly to maintain velocity and preserve low end torque.

Does anyone have any experience with different exhaust sizes that have worked?

Thanks.

Default Re: D16A6 Exhaust Size (rockfish66)

for a basically stock engine i'd stick with a 2" diameter piping. for more modified street d16a6's, should bump up to at least 2 1/4 piping.

more if turboed
