Ok well i've done alot of reading now i need to ask. I have a 91 civic si i took the stock head off that is non vtec and put the d16y8 vtec head on. i used the stock head gasket along with all my stock intake, header, dizzy. now prob the timing belt isn't tight. from what i read the d16z6 is the best belt or is it the ten pully that i don't seem to know how to move. i left the bottom timing cover on. also can i run my stock ecu and everything i listed and just run an rpm switch for the vtec. and is the d16z6 intake better the my stock d16a if so i can get one cheap. let me know i can't wait to get this frankin up and racing.

 

d16z6 intake manifold? better than an d16a, yes it is. but if you already have a y8 head why would you be using a z6 intake manifold

 

well i bought just the head. and put all my stock d16a parts back on it. i just know where i can get a d16z6 intake.

 

and i would prob run a vtec ecu and not use a garbage vtec switch
