The only measurement most people can make is lift. If you measure the cam from the nose of the cam to the base circle (the widest part of the lobe) and then measure it at 90 degrees from where you took the first measurement and subtract you will get cam lift. Measuring duration is difficult. It can be measured out of the car by chucking it in a lathe (or 'centers'), attaching a degree wheel to one end, and measuring lift with a dial indicator. That way you can plot the entire lift curve of the cam. Or you can send it to someone who has a cam doctor (an electronic cam lobe measuring tool) and have them plot it. I do not know who would have one in your neck of the woods. Unfortunately, most aftermarket cams do not have any markings telling you about the specs so unless you have the tools and skills to measure it, you're pretty much screwed.
