Default d16 trans. slop, play?

I've noticed some play or slop in my 93 delsol trans. This happens when i accelerate, and or have a load on the driveline then let off . When i lift it seems to be very"free" like its coasting with out the weight of the car. Then it seems to catch up. When it does the car sort of rocks forward, and I feel the engine braking and trans slowing the car. This is like the play that you can feel when you rock your car back and forth (when its in gear engine off and parking brake down), but more of it Is this normal? It seems excessive to me.

Note: The car has ACT hdss clutch and 125k mi.

worn engine mounts, get some ES inserts and only use the rear one.
