Default D16 specs vs B16

D16Y8 VS B16A2

the b16 has .005 liters of displacement over the d16
the compression of the d16 is 9.6:1 and the b16 is 10.2 :1

other than that i'm having a really hard time finding the diffrences between the two

can somoene supply me with

bore/stroke
cam specs

and any other realavent technical info about these two motors, cuz the diffrence of 50 hp is staggering!!!

i know the B is a dohc, but still the diffrence is gianormous, so please, specs welcome!!!

The "staggering" difference of 50hp, is actually only more like 33hp.

SOHC vs. DOHC. Better breathing in the DOHC u r also looking at around 1000+ rpm difference in redline and like he said around 30-40 hp. The D16 will produce better low end torque, but you have more power and more potential with the B16. If cost is an issue stick w/ the D16, they are cheap as all sin cause everyone is swapping them out for B-series engines.
