D16 ECT temperature stuck and code 6
I have a code 6 with the ECT stuck at 155F . Clearing the code just makes it reappear in 2 seconds.
The Temp on my hondata is stuck at 155F , cold start all the way to warm. Last night the oil was cookin to 260F at idle after the cel turned on.
Anyone know what it can be straight off the bat?

Found this while looking around, in hondata you can adjust when u want the fan to turn on under wat temp so i put it below the stuck 155F and it turned on.
Heres what I found could be the problem from another honda tech thread ----
""Quote:3. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, also under the distributer cap, and looks suspiciously just like the ECT switch....which I can't seem to find in my Honda factory manual, and is labeled in one of the pictures in the back of my Haynes manual, but no explanation for what it does, where it goes, etc.
This is not a switch. It's a sensor that reports the coolant temperature to the ECU. The ECU uses this to find out if the engine is cold in which case it adds more fuel so the engine can warm up faster. The ECT sensors is also used to adjust spark, EGR function, open/closed loop feedback, idle speed and so on.""
