Default d16 to b16. big project??

ok, so I am going to be putting money aside for a b16a1 swap to put in my 95 del sol si. I looked online and on ebay i can find one for around $1800 and on tigerjapanese for about $1900 with tranny and ecu.

I know i will also need:
shift linkage
cv axles
radiator
mounts

how HARD ( say hard even though thats a broad word) would it be to do this swap? I will be around ppl that have done swaps and i know they will help me but I would like to be as prepared to tackle this as much as i can be. any tips? any suggestions? sites? any more info would be very helpful. thank you

I'm not sure where exactly this would go but this seemed like a fine spot.

This is a very straight forward swap. You can make it very easy. Under 6 hours with preparation even for beginners. I can't stress the prep work enough? It can be done with research and planning. Go ahead remove and label if wanted/ necessary the harness off the JDM motor. Freshent the motor up(Complete T Belt service/ tune up at least) ahead of install day. Get 94 Del SOl VTEC heater and radiator hoses.WHich means very few parts will actually be installed swap day. Buying fluids ahead of time Oil/trans/coolant. HAving parts/answers to questions like how do I keep AC/ps before swap day. Now with mounts/ linkage/ axels its just as easy as swapping the original driveline. Thats the long way to say easy. I have done this almost exact swap(EGSi instead) from start to finish in less than 3 hours.

But your car should have a hydraulic tranny and in that case you would want to get the b16a2 which you can find on the same site i said earlier and is around 2000

werd. Any make sure you are getting the OBD1/2 setup with hydro tranny, ecu, etc.

Or save up a little more and get the GSR.

no jdmsource.ca is the way to go. they will give you all the information you need. there engines are around 20,000 miles. hmotor offers at around 3500 and they dont give you very accurate compression test readings
