Default d15b7 not starting but should ?

im posting this for my boss

he has a d15b7 in his auto 4 door civic, he moved it from his drivway to his other driveway and since then has not started

- its getting fuel, has correct fuel pressure injectors are spraying,

- its getting spark, new cap, new rotor, pulled the plugs and replaced with ngk, he also said he rested them on the valve cover by each plug hole and had his wife start it and it shot fuel and air up thru the hole and caught the plug which made a fire ( idk i wasnt there so this story might differ from what happened) but to cliff note this it is getting spark

- its getting air has compression and is holding it, and when he pulled those plugs he said that all the air anf fuel etc was coming thru the spark plug hole.

he checked all fuses, groung wires, relays, etc.

it has all the symptons of a motor that should work, idk what it is, anyone have any ideas?

there is no magic secret to a make a gasoline internal engine run; its only fuel, spark, compression, and timing....thats it, fuel and spark are easy enough to check (and according to him they are there), and there is no reason to suspect compression issues, so that leaves timing, and considering he fooled with the spark timing I still suspect that is the issue. tell him to check it again. And get someone over there that knows what they are doing.

Try spraying starting fluid into the intake while cranking the engine over. If it doesn't start or sound like its going to start momentarily I would suggest rechecking the timing again but it should start if there's spark and the timing is correct.

Let us know if they managed to fix it and how.
