Icon2 d15b vtec-e to d16z6 cam ?

i've tried to search this but no luck wen it comes to the durations vs stroke and which belt to use

most of the posts i looked at only say z6 and i dont know if they meant a 1.5 or 1.6 so i have the full valve train and cam from a 92-95 ex d16z6 the engine i want to put it in is a d15b p0-7 head code vtec-e valve train

i read that only the intake rockers arms and vtec rocker arms need to be put in my z1<-( usdm engine equivalent) caps and the lmas on top after that a valve lashing should be done

but does the gear from the 1.6z6 and 1.5z6 and 1.5z1 have the same cam gear?

and if the durations are too long will i bend all of my valves lol is there a way to check after i put it in other than turning the engine and seeing if its get stuck (i need specs)

and for people sayin swap heads i dont have another head and i want to stay N/A plus i tuned this motor myself with hondata and its pretty quick without the 12 valve mode and i just want more top end

This is basically a write up now

i have a d15b vtec-e head with full roller rockers.. with this said just by looking at the setup i had to fully disassemble my intake and exhaust rocker arms and transplant both donor d16z6 rocker arms intake and exhaust and cam from a ex 92-95 flat tap into my cam caps. they seemed as if they wouldn't fit as if the journals were to big but after dissembling a hundred times and checkin each cap the cam journals are identical just hard to go back because of the valve lash being off (i could have probably loosened the taps first but i wasn't thinking) with everything torqued down to spec the timing was challenging because my timing was off to begin with after finding tdc with a wooden rod i aligned the horizontal marks from the z6 d16 cam with the p08 arrows on the timing cover i tried a thousand times with the 7 degree mark and the arrow towards the bottom but it came up off so after that i spun the motor everything looked good but when i started it the belt was making noise so im assuming the belt was tight so i looked online to check no real help and i figured out a way by lining up the marks and turning the engine to see if it was off at tdc again it was good so using my finger i pushed the belt a little loose about 3/4 of an inch and tightened the bolt and now the tension is good no problems jut need a tune now ill update when im done with that tom lol

got it started runs strong has alot of head noise from the tappets so ill do another valve lash check later today when its super cold

dont let the valve cover fool u real vtec is enabled lol

now that ive run the cam for alittle while and have done a second valve lash the engine runs great and revs to 7 5 no problem like before. i would suggest doing this if u cant get ur vtec-e to work or ur just tired of the vtec-e and have no money for another engine
