Default D15 cylinder head question

Hey there. I own a 92 CX civic with the anemic d15b8 8 valve motor . Before i can get the funds for a b18c motor swap im looking for any upgrade i can do to boost horsepower without spending money. Coincidentaly I have a 16 valve D15 head laying around in the garage that i rebuilt as a project. It is polished and shaved plus the valve guides have been replaced. So i was thinking that by swaping the heads i could gain some high end power. Would this work?I hope the head bolts in, its the same block right? The only part i would have to change is the ECU right? Anyone ever done this? Or seen it done? Is it worth it? Thanx in advance.

Default Re: D15 cylinder head question (HatchedSI)

yep you can do it, herd it gains around 10-20 HP, you need the ECU, and some maybe wireing, but itll work, cause its same block, just like a mini-me swap.
