what is the best D-series tranny gearing? Also, is there any way to improve the gearing of a D- tranny? Thanks.

 

the Si/EX tranny are....they have a 4.25 final,You can improve NA performance with an aftermarket 4.70 or 4.90 final (depending if its cable/hydro)...check out exospeed.com,they have them for sale.

BTW...if this is for a boosted car,forget that,the 4.25 final is more than enuff.

 

It's also a good idea to go with the Y8 tranny instead of the Z6, because it has steel shift forks.
