anyone know of a good cylinder head rebuilder in california. someone who can reshape chambers and rethread spark plug holes and change out guides and seats.

Yea try portflow or alaniz.I was lucky and got a head that has work done by both of them

 

Sounds like a lot of work. It would probably be less expensive and easier to just buy a new head and have it freshened.

Regardless, take it to someone for a look and a quote.

I am having BENSON rebuild me head after I blew my engine. BENSON is widely known for their sleeving jobs but they also fix messed up heads. I just had my cousin drop it off so I am still awaiting a reply on the cost to fix it.

 

its going to be cheaper to buy a new head...
