Brank Cleaner is fine for your pistons, then perhaps a light coat of WD-40.

As for your head, you have to use a precision straight edge and feeler gauges.

brake cleaner went into the coolant wells. does that mean i have to flush my engine. Or should i run the car like that?

you'll want to flush the system.. if the brake cleaner cleans off carbon deposits, then just imagine what it will do for your cooling system gaskets and seals...

Most straight edges are garunteed to.002" accuracy. The same as the specified allowable variance for a head. What a coincidence huh.

A little brake clean in your cooling system is fine. Dont worry about it.

what makes you think your head is warped? did your engine over heat at any stage, or did you run low on oil?
