Default cylinder head damage, plz help

so i was talking off my cam caps from my 1996 b18b last week, and i guess since the engine was pretty abused from the previous owner because like half of the 16-20 screws that hold down the caps snapped in half. so now all the cam caps are off, but half of the holes have parts of the screw in it.

what do you think i should do. my friend told me to take off the cylinder head and install a new one that's been worked on. is this pretty do-able in a garage with a helms manual and tools. and if i put on a 94 obd1 head on my 96 obd2 block, can i swap out my current ecu for a obd1 ecu. and can my distributor work with the 94 head or would i have to use the distributor from the 94. hopefully i can fix the problems. thanks!

you can swap an older head and use the stock ecu with no problems.
all the different sensors are on the intake manifold which you will reuse.

in my humble opionion it would be alot of effort, but you can drill all of those screws out with a extractor, and abuse of an engine would not make those bolts break -you must have a feel for when a bolt is about to break when diss-assembling

Those broken bolts are probably not seized into the head. Try backing them out with a pair on needle nose pliers, or a screw driver.
