Default cutting cold air intake

ok i think i might cut my aem cai so that the filter doesnt sit down on the ground. Where would be the best place to cut it and place the filter? And will doing this make me lose much power? Will the air still flow properly? Or is it going to be detrimental and actually make less power than a stock airbox?

won't cut down your power too much but make sure you make a clean cut so there's less roughness to slow down the air velocity. you can cut it anywhere you choose to make it seem like it's higher up. i don't recommend cutting it so that the filter's in the engine bay.

well if its not in the engine bay and its not behind the bumper, where else could it be? you mean dont cut it too high? i plan on letting the filter sit as low as it can without going back through the hole in the chassis.
