Custom engine stamp help
this is kinda my own personal way to identify my motors and tranys but this could be for other people too. I know you can buy cheap engine stamp kits from harbor freight and such but what if I wanted my own custom stamp like hmo has or lkq has? just 3 letters in an oval?
that way I can have a paper trail to the stamp and have proof im the only one able for that mark? anyone following what im saying?
theres a rubber stamp company here in my town that can make any stamp in any size I want but who could transfer it to a steel punch?
I think that would be pretty cool

OP, you could hand grind some annealed HSS with a Dremel (guaranteeing originality) and then flame harden and quench it yourself. even without the last step of hardening, using a steel stamp will work fine in the comparatively soft aluminum alloy that most honda blocks are cast in.
i've stamped some of my large parts with some dies from harbor freight... looks just fine and serves it's purpose.
sure they can. a well equipped machine shop should be able to cut just about anything, including hardened tool steel. carbide insert endmills are wonderful tools!!
