Q for those in the know:
Why is the B16a IAT sensor in the intake neck...
and the GSR IAT sensor in the intake manifold????
say I was being inventive and I got me another IAT sensor,
bored a hole in my airbox and installed it in the box. say
I then extended the plugs to the sensor and plugged it
in... and the charge air went from 105... to 85 at stop
to ambient temp while moving?
would it lean or enrichen the setup using the stock ECU
and would there be any power gains on my GSR...
would this require using a VFAC to make better use of this
change?

I'm gonna guess it'll try to richen your mixture. But the O2 sensor would read the result, and the ECM will compensate. Have you measured those temperatures or are you guessing what they'll be? I would have guessed the incoming air is moving too fast to pick up much heat from the TB & manifold.
