Default ctr pistons in a b16

im planning on putiing ctr pistons in my b16 with stock rods. What would i need to do for it to run properly with no problems? also how should i tune it i.e .....fuel and timing????? Thanks!!!

to answer your question for you,the pistons rist pins are a tab bit smaller for the rods so there for your stock rods must be shaven down a little bit for them to fit,take em to a machine shop,they will know what to do for you,do not try your self.......joe

It would be a good idea to get your rods shot-peened and getting some ARP rod bolts if you are going to get CTR valvetrain.

Instead of shaving the rods, I would get the pistons milled.

We have a shop that has the program in his CNC machine to do this correctly.

Doesn't matter. Either way works. I ran CTR pistons (milled the rods about 1-2mm) + B17A internals in a B16A3 block and it ran perfect up till the day my car got ****** stolen.

I milled 1mm off of each side of the rod it worked great. If you think about it, the CTR rods are more narrow anyway, I don't see were milling the pistons would have any better results.
