ctr pisons in a b18a block
i was wonderign if you could use ctr pistons in a b18a block, would the piston's compresstion be to high and thus creating valve lash?

valve lash isnt related to compression.
With CTR pistons your compression would be mid-high 11s.

CTR's in a B18A/B w/ a GSR head is about 12.5:1,
with a B16 head, you looking @ 12.2-12.3:1

As far as machining of the rods to fit the pistons, what is needed? I'm not completely clear on this.

the small end of the rod is wider than the opening in the piston.
So you need to open up the piston a little bit to fit the rod.
