CTR (PCT) Pistons .25 overbore in my B18B?
Hey, got a question...
My car has abotu 200,000km (not miles) and I was originally gonna swap it out for a complete JDM SiR-G...
Anyway, I'm thinking about actually rebuilding it... I would be getting a ITR Tranny, Crower 403, or 404's w/crower valvetrain, bore my ls intake manifold, port matched to head, with a bored 64.5mm ITR throttle body, pnp head, hondada intake manifold gasket, chipped ecu, etc... Anyway, I was thinkign abot what pistons to get when I came across a deal for brand new CTR pistons with a .25 overbore... Wondering what exactly would be needed to fit these in my B18b... Coudl I use my stock rods? Could I order new pistons rings and bearing from honda for them? Is the compression ok for my setup?
TIA

well that seems like a decent setup. you could use the stock rods if you had them or the pistons machined (shouldn't cost more than $75). that compression should be good for the setup. just make sure you rebuild the pumps and gaskets and stuff too.
