Can i run a CTR intake cam with a stock valvetrain and stock GSR exhaust cam as long as i keep stock redline. Rebuilding motor with the following mods:
Port and Polish
JE/SRP 11:1's
Spoon 2pc headgasket
DC 4-2-1 1pc stainless
Apexi World Sport Catback
AEM fuel rail
AEM CAI

Actually, I just read that GSR intake springs are stiffer than ITR springs b/c the valvetrain components are heavier.
The review I read seemed more worried about using the stock exhaust valvetrain for ITR/CTR exhaust cams.
Many people here run both on stock valvetrain and I've seen nothing yet about their engines eating a valve.
Little question here: Why did you not upgrade when you pulled the head for P&P and piston swap?
I'd suggest that to be most conservative, you only go w/ the intake cam and not even think of buying non-Honda cams.

Yes it's safe with the cam combo you want to run, as long as you keep your redline stock.
Most of the 92+ B16A & 94+ B18C (non-R) stock valve train/springs are ok for R cams, as long as you keep the revs to a stock revlimiter...besides the powerband of R cams die off at about 8500rpm anyways...
