EDIT: Cylinder 3 wasn't firing well, had a bad valve seal which fouled out cylinder. At the time of dyno car ran like complete ***, Cap and rotor were corroded. Since then, Head has been rebuilt, New ACL bearings installed, New cap/rotor installed, along with Prelude injectors, Crower valvetrain, Webcams Camshafts, CTR N1 crank pulley, Custom 2.5" header back exhaust, and extra love has been given. Car to date is running MUCH better, and here is a recent dyno with new mods.

Nice clean setup. Numbers seam alittle low though. And your compression is probly closer to 13.2-1. Looks like a decently smooth curve though. How does it go?

It really scoots, and motor is strong as hell... I think my problem lies in my exhaust system, I'd like bigger cams too.

Is it mandrel or crush bent? And with that kinda compression it would probly like bigger cams, but i've seen 200whp with setups similar to yours. Perhaps you should mess around with some modded ecu chips in conjunction with your vafc. That way you can mess with some timing too.

Crush bent 2.25 back to a restrictive canister w/ 2.5 test pipe. I think this is my major concern as of now

eww yeah thats no good. It will free up some more power when you take care of that. But i still think there is more power to be seen if you can do something with the timing. I'm assuming your running a stock pr3 ecu?

Honestly, not sure. I know it has been rechipped though. It has no rev-limiter, and it doesn't recgonize o2 sensors.

Heh, thanks. No, I ran it as is. I don't have a test pipe made, wouldn't want to dyno open header because I wouldn't drive it on the street like that.

I'm thinking I'll go with a 2.5-2.75 mendrel bent pipe & resonator back to a non restrictive N1 muffler. Any thoughts?

Magnaflow
I got it and its great yo I think 2.5" is to big mine is 2.25". 2.5" is more for Turbo applications.

car looks great man, but the numbers should be a little higher IMO. You got some big compression and a nice setup but your numbers are similar to those of b16's...I dont think exhaust would have THAT much to do with it but i guess you never know. You try with cam's set at Zero???

Ditch the VAFC and get a Hondata and expect at least 190whp on that set up...I had the same numbers with a VAFC (160whp) and gained 30whp with Hondata and tuning...We have similar mods except I had GSR head/CTR cams/US ITR pistons...

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed man. My engine is strong as hell, I KNOW it can make more power than it did. I only put out 154HP on the baseline run, got almost 10HP from tuning the VAFC. I'm thinking my problem lies in my exhaust being too restrictive, and I think I need bigger cams.

What is different with Hondata? Aren't all the adjustment parimeters the same?

What did you adjust to gain the 30whp?

I'll have to ask my tuner...he did all the work. I simply sat down and watch the screen. As far as tuning capabilities of Hondata vs VAFC, specifics were discussed here before (you might want to search) because I couldnt tell you exactly. All I know is that Hondata can be tuned to your specifics easier plus wider range than a VAFC. btw, I had a 2.25 HKS exhaust when I made 191whp/137 torque...what throttlebody are you using?

Stock integra throttle body... Looking to get it bored out.

Can't use Hondata with my iBook, I don't think they make an OS X program for it.

The problem with my exhaust is, I think it bottlenecks. It goes from a 2.5" header collector, to a 2.5" test pipe, to a 2.25 inch crush bent pipe back to an even smaller canister that is probably 2" diameter or less on the inside. I'm going to go ahead and get the entire system replaced, then I'll re-run on the dyno.. Won't be anytime soon though. Hoping to get the HP numbers in the high 170s, even 180s.

i would recomend a Hondata system, your power is quite low.
We have a L/SVtec with stock bore(81mm),type r pistons and type r head, with 68 mm t body that put down 195 hp and 150 tq to the wheels.
cust will bring me his dyno sheets on monday for me to post if you would like to see

Here is my dynosheet...just came back from getting my car retuned. Replaced my JDM ITR header with a custom header from DTR and upgraded my injectors from stock 240cc to a DSM 450cc...

Set up:
US ITR pistons
GSR head (P&P)
Toda C cams
68mm ERicks Racing TB
Skunk2 intake
Hondata Stage 2

Old dyno numbers are in red 198whp
New numbers in blue 214.3whp

That header kicks *** you gained power all throughout the rev range.

nice numbers both of you. Im looking into getting some tuning done with a vafc but hondata seems very convincing now.

I dont know i figured it would make a little more power. Isnt that close to what a stock gsr should have at the wheel or close to it? I think you should get the kteller exhaust and a magnaflow muffler. I got 2.5 from kteller it was cheaper and all you have to do is weld it up nice. I suggest getting someone to tig weld it. But none the less awesome car man.
