Default CTR cams with JUN valve springs??

im wondering if i put my ctr cams in my gsr with a set a jun valve spring with they mate well or will the jun valve spring be to stiff, also would a gsr with basic boltons and jun valve spings with ctr cams make power safely up to 9000 rpms?

I think the springs would be too much for the CTR cams. With Type R springs and valves (and cams), you should be able to make power up to 9000 rpm

If your reving to 9k I would stick with the jun valve springs and maybe get some ti retainer to lighten up your rotational mass. Its better to be safe then ruin a motor by floating a valve

I didn't know that you can have valve springs that are too stiff.

And spring dont allow you to make power higher, they allow you to rev higher, the power comes from your cams.

with the valvesprings you'll make power safely up to 9000, but since you're putting in the springs its a good idea to put in some titanium retainers while you're ad it. Its better to do everything at once, than to keep taking the head apart and spend more money

Where the hell are you guys coming up with this ****? CTR cams will not make power up to 9k rpm. They quit making power anywhere from 8200-8500 depending on the setup. There is no need to rev to 9000 with these cams.

The valve springs shouldn't be a problem with these cams. But there isn't really a need for them since R springs will do just fine. There have been numerous members that have taken their Rs to 9000 with stock valve springs. Spoon even recommends them with their cams.

i would be getting the jun valve springs so i wouldnt need to upgrade later when i get a more agressive cam then the ctrs, also i want to rev to 9000 with the ctr cams because maybe you are not making more power but your in a higher rpm when you shift to the next gear,
so let me get this straight, the jun valve springs will not negativly affect power with the ctr cams?
