Default 95 ECU vs. 99 ECU..

Any knows if it will work? I need to send in my 95 (obd1) ecu in for service...and I need to use the car...will the 99 (obd2) work for me temp. while waiting for the OBD1 to get back? It's a GSR by the way...I need to know ASAP!!

probably throw codes if u get it to fit, different sensors
