I am not that a fast driver but once in a while I do step real hard on the throttle, meaning the RPM will hit around 4000-5000, speed btw 110-120km. THe problem is when I do that, there will some burning smell coming (with or without the air-cond on). The symptom will not occur with slow accelaration.

Probably the catalytic converter.. nothing to worry about if it is.
